Please Yourself in Port Stephens ...
Some coastal holiday destinations may promise all the glitz and glamour of gold … but, if you’d prefer to discover a precious gem with surprising aspects, then you’ll find it easy to take a shine to Port Stephens.
The first thing you’ll notice as you head towards the peninsula is the quaint roadside market stalls where you can get your hands on just-picked, real fruit and vegies for peanuts!
A little further up the road you’ll be delighted to uncover a boutique vineyard planted amongst the seaside farms. Unpretentious and relaxed…taste the whites and reds while you listen to the blues on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
When you arrive, you’ll have to make some tough decisions … body boarding at the beach or blissful boating on the bay, tobogganing or tennis, Greek food or gourmet pizza … decisions, decisions!
No glitzy casinos, no skyscrapers casting shadows on the shore – just pristine beaches, bays and bush. With 1,000 square kilometres of playground and 126 square kilometres of waterways, what to do is never a problem.
National Parks, headlands, sand dunes, mountains, underwater gardens, rainforests, wetlands, beaches, bays – you’ll love what we've done with mother nature at Port Stephens … absolutely nothing. The diversity of this unique region is one of its main attractions – one minute you’re cruising with the local dolphins, the next careering down the face of a monumental sand dune.
A total experience for couples and families alike in a year round climate surprisingly similar to more northerly destinations. Golf, gamefishing, snorkelling, sailing, koalas, kayaks, cruises, hydrotherapy, hiking, wine tasting, whale watching and much more.
