Lithgow Golf Club


The picturesque, and very easy walking, 18 hole golf course at the Lithgow Golf Club offers quite a challenge to all levels of player. The mens par is 72 at just a few metres under 6,000 metres, and 74 for the ladies at over 5,400 metres. Play a round of golf surrounded by native wildlife. Visiting players are welcome and your bookings can be made at the pro shop.

Lake Wallace


Lake Wallace is situated at Wallerawang off the Great Western Highway, fifteen kilometres south west of Lithgow.

Facilities include: children's playground, picnic and barbecue areas, hot showers are available.

St John the Evangelist Church


St John's was erected by Mrs Georgina Abbott as a memorial to her parents, Mr and Mrs James Walker and her first husband, Mr Edwin Barton. It was designed by Blacket and Son, architects and built by George Donald, opening on 6 November, 1881 as the "Wallerawang" estate private chapel. From its opening it was used by Presbyterian and Anglican Churches and was given to both on 18 November, 1952. Services are held at this beautiful little church on the first and third Sunday of the month.

Lithgow State Mine Heritage Park and Railway


An open air museum consisting of a former colliery site and three kilometres of rail line, The State Mine Heritage Park and Railway offers mine museum guided tours, coal mining displays, picnic areas and Heritage rolling stock and machinery.
